SARAH JANE (HOLMES) LEAMAN:
Looking for parents, siblings & any living relatives of Sarah Jane Holmes - my great grandmother. Born Paignton, Devon abt. 1865-70. Died 8 July 1932 in England (perhaps in Kent or Sussex). Married Edward Henry Leaman. They emmigrated to Canada abt 1908. Some time after her husbands death in 1920, she returned to England to visit family, took ill and died there.
Her funeral notice names: mourners, Mrs. W. Gadd, daughter; Messrs. Albert and Jack Holmes, brothers; Misses Lizzie, Nellie and Florrie Holmes, sisters; Mr. & Mrs W. Leaman, brother and sister-in law; Mrs. Lewis, Mrs. Bridgeman, and Mrs. Moxey, sisters-in-law. Wreaths sent by Lillie, Will and family (Wadhurst, Sussex)....brothers and sisters, (Paignton); William and Alice, (Dawlish); Pollie and Louie, (Torquay); Sarah and family, (Plymouth; Mrs. Mugford and Nellie, and all at Napley, Climsland Road.
I believe the wreath sent by Lillie, Will and family would have been the Gadd family - Lillie was her daughter.
I would appreciate any information anyone might have..would like to make contact with any living relatives.
