I am researching my wifes ancestors who came from England to North Dakota and obtained homeseads in 1884 or 1885.Her grand fathers name was Joseph Prince who was born in England on August 28, 1836. He was Christned at Altherstone near Tamworth, Warwick, England. He married Hannah Nixon who was Christened October 11, 1846, Ticknall, Derby, England. Hannah attended the Lady Crewes School which I think was in Tecknall. Hannah Nixons father was Joseph Nixon and we think her mothers name was Ann Blease. If this is correct, they were married January 1, 1827 at Plemstall, Cheshire, England. We have a copy of the St. Modwens Messenger, the Burton Parish Church Maazaine dated February 1914. On page three there's an annoncement of the marriage of Arthur Ernest Austin and Florence Vernon Nixon on January 5, 1914. We would appreciate information about any of these people and the Lady Crewes School or where could we obtain such data. It's possible we may have information to share with you if you belong to the Prince or Nixon family and would like to hear from you by e-mail. Thank you Harry and Delores Short HDMShort@Aol.com Correspondence can be sent to 724 Santa Ana Lane, Concord, CA. 94518
