The THOMPSON trail produces Job.

My excitement for June 14, 2000 was fulfilled. In my Trailing The Thompson's research, I had found my great-grandfathers brother Job in the IGI. Their parents were Joseph and Hannah THOMPSON of Womersley, Yorkshire, England. Job's record in the IGI showed he had been b/c on June 14, 1835. I was born one hundred years later on June 14, 1935 in Nebraska.

I was elated to find such a small connection.

After searching further in SLC/FHC, I discovered in the Womersley, Yorkshire, England Baptism Records that Job had been born on June 6, 1835 but christened on June 14, 1835. No matter, the date still seemed important.
On or about June 12, 2000 I posted an inquiry about Job THOMPSON at Harrogate, WRY for 1901. On June 14, 2000, I received an answer to my posting.

Harrogate Herald - 6th May 1903

May 3rd, at 18 Cheltenham Parade, aged 67, Job Thompson

[He does not appear on the Burgess Roll for 1903 or 1904 - therefore
not
entitled to vote].

What a great birthday present so I wished Job A Thankful 165th Christening Day. Now if someone knows of his wife (no name, yet) and her sister,
the search trail will lead into the 21st century.
