Looking for anyone else researching or related to the above names. I've found the family mainly in NE Essex (Stanway, Copford, Gt & Lt Horkesley, Lexden, Weeley) but also over the Suffolk border in Stoke-by-Nayland.
In particular looking for the parents of John WAYLAND that married Mary WILBY 21 Nov 1786 Little Horkesley, Essex.
John & Mary had sons George & John. George married Lucy POTTER of Mile End/Myland. Their son George married Elizabeth SPRINGETT (SPRINGATE)of Stanway. In turn, their son George married Rachel RILEY of Bobbingworth/High Ongar. Their son James William married Mary Jane (Jean) STUART (STEWART) - my grandparents.
The WAYLAND - WAYLEN's moved to Barking by 1881 and then stayed in that area (Barking, East Ham)
Other names that married into the WAYLAND - WAYLEN line are BRAGG, BAKER, MOP, CANT, SIMPSON, BEAUMONT, ROGERS, HONEYBALL, MYERS
