THEOBALD/MEDCALF/ROWE Looking for ggrandmother's & ggrandfathers's ancestors. They were Emma (THEOBALD) Medcalf d. March 26, 1943 & William MEDCALF, parents of Ellen Maria Medcalf b.July 31, 1892. She was teacher & war-bride to James Edgar Rowe, Ontario Canada, with 10th Canadian Mounted Rifles Battalion. Ellen was 1 of 12 children born to Emma & William Medcalf. Aware of some family in UK, need info on ancestors possibly from Sudbury, Suffolk. Ellen's brother Fred? Medcalf was a photographer, sister was a nanny.
ROWE: Ancestors of JAMES H. ROWE born Ontario June 10, 1850 who married Elizabeth Louisa McIntosh also of Ontario Canada. James' parents, my ggrandparents possibly emmigrated from UK. Unfortunately, he was adopted out to farmer in Perth County & can't trace. He kept his birth name. Any info on ROWE families who emmigrated to Canada prior to 1850 appreciated. Thanks, Ellen Rushton.
