I am looking for information about my grandfather, John Ernest Hemsley, born 1878 London?. He spent time on the Exmouth training ship on the River Thames. He progressed to working on the sailing ships, and ended up in New Zealand as a young man. It's his early life and family pre New Zealand that I am interesred in.
