I have a large collection of over 200 letters and documents related
the Carr family from Little Gomersal, Yorkshire. Most of the
items relate to a father and son, both William Carr who were
Surgeons. A geneaology chart probably done in the 1870s tracing the ancestors of William Carr
back to the 15 and 16th century is also included. The earliest document in the lot is an
indenture dated 1606 and the latest is from the 1880's. I
originally purchased the lot on eBay last fall for my
interest in postal history. Over the winter, I have enjoyed
reading through the letters and doucments, but didn't
find any unusual postal history items. Now my challenge is
to find the archive a new home and hopefully in the hands of
a decendant. I have put the collection on eBay. To view this
item go to www.ebay.com and search for item 286075642 by
seller dgj. By mutual agreement, I would considering accepting early
postal history items or other interesting US related
ephemera for full or partial payment for this lot.
Thank you for your consideration and my apologies if this
posting violate the group charter.
