Looking for Hoosons from Bradford, Yorkshire, England. My ggg grandfather was John Hooson, born in Bradford, I do not know his birthdate. It is said that he was a florist in England. Also looking for his daughter, Maria Matilda Hooson, born 11 January 1842 in Bradford. Have also heard that Maria had a brother named Sirus/Cyrus Hooson. This family left England around 1850, coming to the US.
I am interested in learning who Maria's mother was, and where in Bradford this Hooson family resided. Also, were there any floral shops in Bradford during the 1820s-1850, where John Hooson could've possibly worked? Were there any other Hooson families living in Bradford, during this time period?
So many questions, I know, but I am so curious to learn more about these ancestors of mine. Any and all help given is greatly appreciated! Thank you so much!
