Have been scrolling through the net trying to find origins of HEPHER family - some or whom still live in Swavesey England. First mention of this name in England is during 10th or 11th century when two were imprisoned for non-payment of taxes. Many mentions of this tribe/famile HEPHER in Old Testament. Am wondering how on earth could they have become English? Will be in contact with 3rd cousin in England but am posting this in case there is some very knowleable person out there who can at least let me know who might know, about HEPHERs moving to England?
