GIRTON HOUSE SCHOOL, Shere Avenue, Ewell, Surrey, was managed by Mrs Barnes from about 1938. At some stage she remarried and became Mrs Jenkins. The school closed about 1960. I would be interested in hearing from COLIN CHAPMAN, ALAN BURFIELD, KENNETH NEWMAN, PAT RAYNER, or others who may have benefitted from the primary education that the school provided during the war years.
