I am looking for the descendamts of William O'Brien sho was my great grandfather he was killed in the Battle of the Somme in 1915. His name is on the memorial at the Menim gate in Belgium. He was the father of my grandmother whose name was Dora May O'brien she had a sister called Meg Rose. My great grandmothers name was May Preston O'Brien nee' Fothergill. She later re-married and I believe her new married name was Duffield. Before William died they resided at Elliot Cottages Queens Road North Shields. I believe my great grandfather may have come from the Jarrow/South Shields area.
