Hi,
In researching our g.g. grandparents, PATRICK ALEXANDER & CATHERINE MEARES DUCKETT, natives of Ireland, emigrating to the CHESTERFIELD (BARROW HILL-STAVELEY) area of England in the mid-1800's, the following informtaion was found in the 1881 British Census:
MARTIN DUCKETT and family living at 3 Coates St. in Manchester listed as follows: MARTIN (46), WILLIAM (18), MARTIN (16), FRANCIS (6), MARY (4) and CATHERINE (9). MARTIN, SR. listed as a widow, born in Dublin. All of the children were born in Manchester.
These are our family names, but the dates don't seem to match, so we are hoping to make contact with, or find information concerning, the descendants of our g.g. grandparents and who the above family may be....ours or yours!
Any help will be most appreciated.
