My grandmother has in her Bible that her grandfather was WILLIAM SIRBY WELLS,born 1834 in Liverpool,Lancashire. England. His mother ELIZABETH ELLEN WELLS. In trying to verify the infomation I found WILLIAM SIBSEY WELLS born 1838 in Botoiph,Lincoln Lincoln, England. Mother Elizabeth Wells.
I am wondering if these two are the same person or different people. I don't know if the following story is family tradition or true. "ELIZABETH WELLS parents owned a Shipyard and when they died she inherited the shipyard if she would return to England. She chose to stay in USA." I wonder who got the shipyard? because they would be relatives. ELIZABETH ELLEN WELLS father nay be WILLIAM GEORGE WELLS. I could really use some help on this.
