GEORGE - Researching Philip GEORGE, born 25 August 1754 in Llangybi, Monmouth, England; Father: William GEORGE, Mother: Elizabeth
Philip GEORGE and Thomas GEORGE were convicted by Oxford Circuit in Monmouthshire in 1775 for sheep stealing. Both were sentenced and reprieved in lieu of transport to America. William GEORGE was sentenced to 14 years for receiving sheep stolen in Llanverchva by Philip and Thomas GEORGE.
Philip GEORGE, Thomas GEORGE, William GEORGE and Elizabeth GEORGE were convicted of "inciting to riot" and fined in 1771 in Llanverchva.
Trying to get transport information if possible on Philip and Thomas GEORGE. PRO in Kew will not honor requests via mail. Any help out there? Will be glad to exchange research in Texas for research help in London.
Thanks,
Kathleen George Bryan e-mail: Kasondraeq@aol.com
