MORRILL. Are there any MORRILLS in England? I am a descendant of Abraham Morrill who came to Massachusetts on Sept. 16, 1632 on the ship "Lyon." He came with his (undetermined) uncle or much older brother Isaac Morrill, and they were from Hatfield, Broad Oaks. Is there anyone familiar with the name and that particular area? Please e-mail me and tell me what you know. We have had trouble finding out about Abraham and Isaac's ancestors. I also have a bit of writing which describes a coat of arms and it goes like this: "Coat of arms in possession of J.F. Morrill of Newburyport: 'He beareth azure, two griffins rampant, or supporting a diamond argent by the name of MORRILL, granted ye 15th year of ye reign of Queen Elizabeth to SIR HUGH MORRILL OF YE COUNTY OF DEVON, first son of SIR ROBERT MORRILL, Inner Temple, London, son of THOMAS MORRILL, West Riding.'"
