STOCKDALE, John. John was married to Christena SMITH (late 1820's-early 1830's). They lived in Yorkshire, but sometime in the 1830's they emigrated from England to Canada. They first settled in the province of Quebec, along the St. Lawrence River. They had four children: Charity (born 8 May 1833 - in Quebec), Adam (born 28 Feb 1837 - in Quebec), Faith and Hope.
Adam married Adaline? and lived in the province of Ontario where they had eight children. Charity married Thomas Hambly and they also lived in Ontario and had ten children.
If anyone has any information on John Stockdale (his parents, siblings, if any, etc.) please let me know. Thanks.
