LANE, John (an agricultural labourer) born Coleshill, Hertford, England married Emma Hailey, born Amersham,Buckinghamshire, England. As of the April 1881 Census they had the following children:
Henry (16), Ellen (14), Frederick (12), Fanny (9), Annie (4),and Lizzie (2). On 5 Jun 1881 Agnes was born at Bury End. I believe Agnes was the youngest of the family. All the children were born in Amersham. On the 1891 census, John, Annie, Lizzie and Agnes only were living on Washington Row. I am trying to find out what happened to this family and what caused Agnes and a sister to be sent to Canada by 1897. Any clues would be appreciated.
