I am looking for any Gillett's from the areas of Preston, Lytham,or Liverpool, Lancashire. My Grandfather was Edward George Gillett, married Catherine (nee Caine from Liverpool)they emigrated to Canada around 1892. Edward Gillett was in the Scott's Guards regiment in Preston and had two sisters, Elizabeth and Jane. Prior to emigrating, they lived in Lytham, possibly on Clifton Street.
