SCARBROW OR SCARBOROUGH??
I am not sure which spelling is correct at this point, in two census 1881 & 1891 it is listed as Scarbrow. Looking for information and any connections to Henry b 1839 and Maria b 1842 Scarbrow. As of 1891 they lived at 51 quenns Row, Newington, Surrey. They had 10 children in total: Frederick b 1864; John b 1865; Ann b 1867; William b 1869; Eliza b 1873; Charles b b1875-6; Elizabeth b 1878; Maria 1879; Thomas b 1880 and Alfred b 1885. Charles was my great-grandfather, he married Sarah Elizabeth Smith in Halifax, Nova Scotia circa 1894, they had one child, Gertrude Isabelle b Mar 06 1895. Charles fought and died in the Boer War, his wife and daughter remained in Halifax. Anyone with any information or a possible connection, please contact me. Thank you for your time, Lois.
