My maiden name is Leat, I am interested in the Origin of the name, I know only that we are Scots, although for some reason my Grandfather, George Leat,was born in Devon somewhere, my father, also George,was born in Glasgow,Scotland, My Grandfather, as was my father,an only son..The name is so unusual I would love to know what it means..........
