Wondering if anyone has any historical information on my GGGrandfather, William H. H. West, born in Teddington, Kent in 1830 approx. The 1881 Census stated that he was 51 years old at the time. It also stated that his wifes name was Anne M.S. West. I was also curious what the initials "M and S" stood for. His "H. H." , I think one of the letters stood for Harfield, I believe.I have found him in the 1881 Census. Chatham Barracks, Kent. He was a Lieutenant Colonel at this time. One of his sons, Christopher West. my GGrandfather, became a Doctor in Canada with the North West Mounted Police. I have heard that he studied at Guys Hospital but I had also heard that he did not finish his schooling there and so must have completed his education somewhere else? Thankyou in advance for any relevent information that you have on my "West" Family Genealogy . Lorne Anderson
