My maternal grandfather was James/James Patrick McNamara. He was a merchant marine sailor by trade. He was born in 1871, perhaps Dublin, perhaps Limerick. He married Annie Ahern in Boston, USA 30 January 1895. In 1915 he was with the family in Hoboken, New Jersey. He then disappeared and abandoned his family of wife and three young girls, my mother among them. He sailed out of Irish and English ports. If anyone knows of or about him, I'd appreciate knowing. He is one of my brick walls. Thank you.
