HENSHAW- I am researching the Henshaw family who lived in the Manchester(Ardwick) area from 1889 onwards, especially John Gordon Henshaw B late 1860's to Willam Henshaw but I not sure of where he was born i.e Manchester or Liverpool. All the children of John were given the middle name of Gordon, I do not know where this came from, as John Wife, Mary Jane, was a Renshaw, if any one can help me in any way to trace John's roots I would be very grateful.
