I am looking for my family's first ancestors to Australia.
My male relatives' name is PHILLIP BOWLES. His fathers' name was WILLIAM. PHILLIP lived in Torquay and sailed to Australia, the year is unsure, the ship is unsure and where he landed is unsure. We know PHILLIP arrived before 1854. He married a woman named ELIZABETH CHARTRES. ELIZABETH was born in 1822. Her fathers' name was PETER CHARTRES and her mothers' name was ELIZABETH MARION WOLLSTON. They were married in Middlesex. ELIZABETH CHARTRES also sailed to Australia year,ship and place unsure as well, but we know that PHILLIP and ELIZABETH met and married here and that their first child was born in 1854. This is all the information we have on either PHILLIP or ELIZABETH.
