Looking for Augustus Elliott thought to be a sea captain sailing from Liverpool to Norfolk, Virginia around 1800. Frmily tradition says that he was called "Captain Gus". He married about 1808 and settled down in what became Madison County, Alabama in 1809. He and his wife Nancy (?) had seven (7) children. He died shortly after the birth of child #7 about 1824. Nancy remarried a man named Joseph Hambrick and they and her 7 children went to the republic of Texas 1838. Need help or some new clues for this puzzle.
