I am searching for a John GENNARD, I know he married and died in Barnsley, Yorkshire but despite having this information I cannot find a birth. He would have been born in about 1866/67 and was not on the census for Yorkshire in 1881 or 1891. I am lead to believe he came from the Shropshire/Staffordshire Area of England. His father is named as JAMES GENNARD on his marriage certificate. I believe the name to originate from France and the earlies GENNARD on the familysearch.org is in KENT in 1558 when a JOHN GENNARD marries an AGNES FORWARD in West Farleigh, on 15t April 1558. I would be grateful for any information.
