My great grandmothers name was Ellen Harriet King born in Greenwich Kent around 1877. She was the eldest child of George A. King and Elizabeth King. Mrs King was born in Hollingbourne Kent, and George was born in Wisbeadge, Cambridge (according to the 1881 Census).
According to family lore, she was the eldest of 13 children. Only 3 are mentioned in the 1881 Census, Ellen Harriet 4yrs, Mary Beadis 2 yrs, and Samuel Cresson King 1 month old. Of these, Ellen and Mary were born in Greenwich. I know that the youngest sister was Edith King, and that they were dark haired, and that is about it!
Ellen Harriet King married Henry William Card, and their eldest child Gladys Edith Card was my grandmother.
