I am researching the Collins family of Somerset, england. In the 18th century they lived in West Pennard and Meare, in the 19th century moved to Godney, later Glastonbury and possibly Wells. One of them, Jim Collins was said to have emigrated to Canada or America. He would have had a number of brothers and sisters, and his mother was Emily Collins (later Bown). He might know of a family legend that his father was the tallest man in Wells. If any of Jim's descendants are out there, I can help them take their family tree back to early 1700's.
