Naomi WILLIAMS, born Sept. 06, 1866 in London, England. She was married April 13, 1887 in England to Richard Emerson TAYLOR. He was born Feb. 01, 1859 in County Down, Ulster. (Northern Ireland) and lived for a time in New Town, Hebburn-on-Tyne, County Durham, England. They sailed from Liverpool, England to the U.S. in 1887 and settled in Jersey City, NJ. He was a stable master for Colgate Co. for many years. Issue included Sarah, Richard Emerson Jr., James Harrison, Joseph Austin, Harry Whittier, Charlotte Marie, William Gordon, Cornelius Bradford, and Wallace Edwin. All but Sarah and William survived to adulthood. Richard Emerson TAYLOR Sr. died May 03, 1932 in Jersey City, N. J. and Naomi WILLIAMS TAYLOR died in 1959 in Jersey City, N. J.
Naomi had other siblings who immigrated to the U.S. One sister was Mary WILLIAMS lived in Tottenville, Staten Island, New York. She was married three times and the last husband was called Uncle Chris by the nieces and nephews. Another sister was Lizzie WILLIAMS
Lizzie married but husband's name is unknown She had a daughter, Clara COE of Neptune, New Jersey. Naomi's brother was Johnny WILLIAMS. He was a bartender and a comedian. He had no children. Nothing is known of the WILLIAMS family of London, England except that there was a Jewish grandfather.
