Does anybody have knowledge of a Colonel Maclean who was a member of the Cold Stream Guards, in the 1850s - served in China. Lived in Penrith, UK. His wife's name was Ellen. These people 'adopted' my great-great grandfather, James Yorston and his sister (Amelia??) when they were orphaned in China.
