I am looking for any information about my 3rd great-grandfather , Charles Foy.
Charles was born about 1848 in the Surrey/Middlesex area.
His parents were Allan Foy & Ann Elizabeth (surname unknown may also be Foy ).
Charles may have arrived around 1851 , but I can't find him on the Immigration Lists for NSW , or his parents.
He married Margaret Walbridge at Kempsey NSW in 1869.On his Marriage Cretificate Charles states he is a Farmer , and that his Father is a Gardener.
They had 10 children ; Allan , Eliza , Mary , Ann Elizabeth , Evangeline F , Charles W , John H , William C , Margaret V & Harold A W.
Charles W dies as a baby and William dies in adulthood.
All children born in Kempsey , except Harold who was born in Goulburn.
Charles , at some point, becomes an Engineer/Engine Driver.
Around 1893 the Foy family are living in Reynolds Street in Goulburn.
Margaret ( the wife) dies in Merewether ( Newcastle) in 1906. Charles dies in Wickham ( now part of Newcastle) in 1915.
Any info on how Charles came to Australia , descendants of this Foy family, or info on Charles' parents Allan & Ann Elizabeth would be most appreciated.
