Looking for Matilda JOHNSTON / JOHNSON born Halifax, Nova Scotia, immigrated to England with "foster" family NEWTON'S where she lived until she married William Henry WESTACOTT. In 1898, Matilda and William immigrated to Australia and settled in the Western District town of Koroit, Victoria - William was a Mariner and it is believed perished en-route to England, leaving Matilda to raise there children Violet WESTACOTT, Gladys WESTACOTT and Edward WESTACOTT - other connections may be BINNEY in Nova Scotia. in particular Bishop Hibbert BINNEY and Lady Mary BINNEY nee BLISS
