COOK John Henry who lived in Dover and Margate. His father died when he was 9 (probably 1913/1914. His mother was known as Dawes/Makey/Cook. I want to trace his family roots. He married Doris Myrtle Clark of Dover. His mother died 1938/1939 and was buried in Dover. He had sisters Elsie (married Stan Wood), Ethel (married Percy Datlen), Marjorie (married Alf ?) and Hilda (married Glyn Kinsey). All lived most of the time in Dover. If anyone knows why my mother went to Devon in 1940 9 months before I was born, I would like to know. My mother's relatives were there (Knotts) related to lighthouse keepers. Her friend from Greenford (Audrey Cotton) whose daughter was Barbara (now 60s) might know something.
