I would love to make contact with my grandfather's family. He, Frank Burdett RILEY, came to Australia in 1908, having apparently spent several years travelling the world as a Purser for the Blue Anchor Line. In the late '60s I met his eldest sister Alice Florence, known as Flo (born 1879), and his brother Percival Frederick Fleet, known as Percy (born 1881), as well as Percy's wife, and daughter Edna who was married to Bernard COLLINS. Unfortunately Edna died over 10 years ago and I have not been able to make contact since. At that time they were living in Holland-on-Sea, Essex, but when I met them it was in Clayhall, Ilford. Grandpa had other siblings: Mabel Isabella Burdett born 1881 (twin to Percy), Mary Lilian May born 1884, Daisy born 1888, Ernest Edward born 1892 and Elliott John born 1896. Their parent were John RILEY (born 1857) and Sarah Elizabeth nee BURDETT (born 1855) who were married at St Anne Limehouse, Middlesex on February 4, 1878, witnesses Frederick John BURDETT and Alice Jane BURDETT.
