I am trying to find the birth parents of James Bryce. He was born about 1782 in Slyne, Lancs., England.He married Agnes Tallon in 1804. He was the first lock keeper at Glasson Dock which is where he met his death by drowning, in 1835.There were nine children: James b. and d.1805,Jane b 1805, John b.1807,Robert b.1810, Agnes b.1813, James b. 1815, Mary b. 1818, Sarah b.1820, and William b.1823. William is my ancestor.
