My name is Heather Diplock (maiden name Allen)
I am desperately trying to trace my family Tree.
My Father, Cyril Frederick Allen (Known to all as Frank) was born 28/06/22 address 18 Eltham Road, Lee, Lewisham SE9. He had a brother John A Allen (Deceased).
Their Father was called Frederick Allen DOB 1885 in the Bermondsey Area butlived at 103 Farley Road, Catford SE6 before he married. He died in 1933 while living at Eltham Road, Lee, Lewisham SE9.
He married Annie Elizabeth White in 1922, she lived at 76 Laleham Road Catford SE6, before she married. They both moved to 18 Eltham Road, Lee, Lewisham in 1922 when they married.
FREDERICK ALLEN had 2 spinster sisters who was said to have owned a laundry in the Brixton/Camberwell area in the 30s, he also had a brother called Albert or Burt who later became a broker in Bracknell.
CHARLES ALLEN (Frederick Allen's Father) Came from the Bermondsey area and was an egg supplier. He died in 1922 or before.
FREDERICK WHITE: Who died 1922 or before (father of Annie Elizabeth Allen (nee White) He originated from Paddock Wood in Kent and was a farm labourer, I am not sure when he moved the family to the catford area and I know they were there in 1916.
ANNIE ELIZABETH ALLEN (nee White) she died aged 64 in 1950 while at her sons John Allen in Worcester. She had a brother called Thomas and he had a daughter called Madeline Annie White, she died in 1918 at only 20 months old her DOB 1916 at that time they lived at 76 Laleham Rd Catford. She also had sisters but I only know of 2, 1 went by the nickname of Ditsey White and the other lived at 5 Thornhill Cottages, Taunton Rd, SE12.
They all originated from Paddock Wood and I am not sure when they made the move to the Catford area but I know they were there in 1916 upwards so they could have been there for a longer period than that.
PLEASE, PLEASE. If there is anyone out there that remembers the Allen's or the Whites around that time. Or perhaps there is still a living relative out there somewhere either in Catford/Lewisham/Bermondsey or Paddock Wood. Please get in touch, email and phone number below
My Father Cyril Frederick Allen (Frank) is 80 this year and it would please him so much to fill in the gaps in his life.
