I am seeking help to find my ancestors in the UK. I am searching for Sameul Knowles, married Hannah Kirk on 29th May 1803, Parish of Arnold, Notts. Known issue Elizabeth, b 1810, Maria, b 1815, my GG/F Samuel, b 1819 and Emma, b 1821. All born Mansfield, Notts. My GG/F was transported to Van Diemans Land for the theft of a lamb and arrived 1838. He escaped and changed his name to Samuel Dunn, married an Irish Orphan girl and produced fourteen children. I am desperate for help as I cannot find any trace of Samuels parents. Their address was Back Lane, Mansfield. Can anyone help me find this family? Dawn.
