please can any one help? I am trying to get information on my Great-grandmother and her family. Her name was Isabella, I think her maiden name was Mcdonald and she may have come from the Isle of Iona. She was married to James Tallon and had a few children, one of them my grandmother was born 9/4/1896 in Ambleside, the Lake district. And named Flora Iona Mcdonald Tallon. Isabella may have died a few years later, after the birth of my nan's sister Robeena. Some time later the family went over to America, Where 1 brother called James and 2 sisters molly and Ina remained, the rest came back to England with their father and later came to live in Lancaster in the North West of England, where James Snr died around 1920 aged 80. Any info on either families past or present very much appreciated.
