I am trying to locate descendants of my maternal grandfather's brother William GALLOWAY. My maternal grandfather was James Gerald Newbold GALLOWAY, who was born in Newry Ireland in 1892. I think William was younger than him. William went to live with his uncle James GALLOWAY at Kirkcaldy, Fife before WWI. He had a son called William, and possibly a son called Donald. Last heard of, William snr had a pub in Stenhousemuir (not sure of spelling). My grandfather came to Australia, where he enlisted during WWI. He visited his uncle and grandmother (Janet/Jessie Melville EDMISTON/GALLOWAY) in Kirkcaldy while he was in Scotland in 1916-17. Contact with his family seems to have been lost about 1920. James G N and William were sons of William GALLOWAY and Katie MAGEE.
