I am looking for the Parents names Capt. John Beattie Born Isle of Arran Scotland Dec. 23 1823. He was a Capt of his ship and then became a Stevedor in the early 1900's in New Orleans LA. I have letters from a nephew that was also on ships back in the 1800's. Please can some one help me.
