I am looking for information as to the whereabouts of a Mr William Sharkey. He was known as Billy and his date of birth is the 8/11/1949. Billy grew up in a childrens home called Wilton House in Hawick in Scotland. He was fostered for a period in Airdrie and attended Chapelside Primary School with his sister Agnes who is known as Nancy. Billy joined the merchant navy when he was 16 approx. He also has a sister Margaret, a sister Kathleen who may be known as Kathleen Watson. Billy also has a brother David. Billy,s sisters Nancy and Margaret have been reunited and it is on their behalf that this searchhas been requested.Billy,s mother is a Margaret Armstrong Petrie Sharkey, she married Billy,s father a Mr William Sharkey at Southdean Registry office on 24th of January 1948. Her maiden surname is Margaret Ross. Margaret may have remarried possibly underthe name of Adams and may be living in the Grimsby area.Iwould appreciate any information as to her whereabouts as she is my grandmother and Billy is my uncle.
