DEAN ORPHANAGE EDINBURGH I DONALD CAMPBELL VEALE WAS THE LAST ORPHAN TO LEAVE THIS BUILDING JUST BEFORE IT CLOSE TO ALL. MY BROTHER TOM AND I MOVED IN JUST AFTER THE WAR AS THE PAINTING WAS BEING CARRIED OUT. I wonder if there is anyone out there who was at the old place and still alive and kicking. I went to live with my sister in Granton her name was Helen Fenton (Tookie). The younger children moved over to the childrens home close by. I believe the place is now an art gallery.
