I am looking for information on my Scottish ancestors. My GGG-Grandmother was a Mathieson (Charlotte Theresa). I don't have much on her lineage,
but here is what I have:
Lt. Alexander Mathieson, born Aberdeen m. Barbara Johnson
Children:
William Mathieson
George Mathieson
Isobella Mathieson m. James Anderson, M.D.
Catherine Mathieson m. 1830 Alexander Duncan, Jr.
Charlotte Theresa Mathieson d. Texas 1848 m. Scotland 1811 James Hector
John Mathieson
I am hoping to find information on her father, Lt. Alexander Mathieson, who supposedly
was a member of the Queen's Rangers. In one family history, the name is spelled
Mathieson, but I understand it is also sometimes spelled Matheson.
Also, in some records, it appears that some births/marriages for this family
were recorded in St. Nicholas parish, Aberdeenshire. Any help in the right
direction would be appreciated.
