FALCONER JOSEPH AND HELEN GILMOUR these are my great great grandparents i am trying to track them down and am having a great deal of difficulty to our knowledge they were married had a son called thomas falconer who was born in 1856 at the time joseph and helen were living at 72 oswald street bridgeton, we do not know what happened in the years that followed, by the time thomas married in 1882 his marriage was to one fanny mckay the marriage cert. stated that helen was a widow and joseph was deceased.our family oral history says that joseph died out in south africa in a mining accident we have not been able to prove this though. all we know about joseph was that he was a stonemason/journeyman. of death certificates we have not found any for either joseph or helen, our family history states that thomas was adopted, be we know that is not so, but he may have been brought up by a family member or a friend, as he stayed in the glasgow area, and married. having a son neil falconer who married a margaret platt, who then in turn had 3 children 2 boys thomas and neil and a sister fanny, WW1 claimed the life of my grandfather, after that his wife and three children came to live in new zealand. where the families have stayed. but it is joseph and helen that i am interested in, as we know everything down to us. if anyone has any ideas as where we should look any information would be appreciated.
