Hello everyone, Iam looking to trace anyone who may have lived in the Lochee area of Dundee in 1932. My maternal grandmother lived there when she died in a tragic accident
which left my mother the age 2 and her 2 sisters and 1 brother without parents. My grandmothers name was Mary Cooney Nee Doyle she married John Cooney on the 07/05/1921
John died 01/03/1932 the death certificate said cronic asthma My grandmother died 03/06/1935 aged 36 she died on a
fire accident at home when her apron caught fire on 02/06/1935, she died the next day as a result of her injurys
Her children Jane,James,Alice, and Annie who was my mother
at the time of the accident I think Mary Cooneys sister was with her Mrs Kinsella and I also think she took Annie
home with her that night the children were all looked after by reletives,in the lochee area I have a small part of my family tree which goes back to 1859 and all of the family so far lived in Lochee Dundee if anyone has a family member who remembers John or Mary Cooney (nee Doyle) then I would love to hear from you. many thanks.
