My ROSS brickwall in Ross & Cromarty is Andrew ROSS with his wife Helen MONTGOMERY (b.1749 in this parish.Kilmuir Easter)tenant farmer on the Cromarty Estate of the Mackenzies which was to be forfeit for their part in the Rebellion of 1745.The son John ROSS takes over the farm of Milntown and in his household is his unwed sister Elizabeth.No other siblings are known.So many Rosses in this area of Easter Ross I hope someone out there is tracking the same steps.
