MCBAIN - FYVIE, STRICHEN, NEW PITSLIGO, NEW BYTH
I am searching for further information on JOHN McBAIN a gamekeeper at Backhill of Gight, Fyvie in 1859, when he had a son (also called JOHN McBAIN) by a CHRISTIAN SHEPHERD a domestic servant. I have been unable to find a marriage record to date, but on JOHN McBAIN junior's marriage certificate. His mother was married to JOHN McBAIN senior and she was now deceased.
JOHN McBAIN (junior) married a JESSIE JACK a watch maker's daughter from Strichen Aberdeenshire.
They in turn had a son GEORGE URQUHART McBAIN who married a ANNIE SMITH McRAE MILNE SMITH PENNY in New Pitsligo in the early 1900's.
