I am searching for the ancestors of Dr. Alexander Glas Strachan (I believe the son of Joseph Strachan and Elizabeth Glas). He was born at Lucas Estate,Edinburgh, Scotland on July 29, 1749. He was educated at University of Edinburgh (MD) and immigrated to Virginia in 1766 beginning his practice in King and Queen County and then moving to the City of Petersburg, Virginia. He married twice. 1st: Lucy Pride, 2nd: Sarah (Sallie) Feild. He served on the first board of alderman for the city of Petersburg. He had 8+ children. Any help in tracing his Scot Family would be most appreciated.
