MASON family from FIFE Scotland. Seeking info about gggrands
JAMES MASON & AGNES MATTHEW who emigrated from Fife County
approx.1850 to USA & settled in Whiteside County, Morrison,
Illinois. Their children born in Fife County were: Margaret
1838 or '39, Thomas 1840 or '41, twins James Bayne
(my great grandfather) and Isabel 1846, and Robert b.1848.
Two more children born stateside in ILL., John 1853, and
Nancy Jane 1856. Only info on parents is: Agnes'parents were
Thomas Matthew and Margaret Thomson or Thompson of Fife. James'
parents were possibly Thomas Mason and Isobel Bayne of Fife
OR Alexander Mason and Ozena Bain. We only know for certain
that his mother's maiden name was Bayne. Any info would be
appreciated.
