LAIRD, Alexander, b. appx. 1728, probably in Kilmacolm, Renfrew, Scotland. Married Elizabeth Scott 7/25/1751 or 1753. Children: John (5/5/1756); helen (9/1/1760); Robert (4/21/1765); Joseph (10/27/1771); Thomas (12/21/1777); James (7/16/1758); Alexander (3/26/1763); William (3/10/1769); Joseph (2/5/1775). I am a descendant of Joseph Laird who married Ellen (sometimes "Helen") Eleanor Morrison in 1799 in Aberdeen Scotland. They had 8 children, some born in Scotland, some in U.S. Interested in contacting descendants of Joseph's siblings still living in U.K. My cousins daughter wants a pen pal!
